This week I'm so excited about the effects of amla fruit on my skin and hair that I thought we ought to do a feature on it!
Amla fruit is also referred to as the 'Indian Gooseberry', and looks very much like a gooseberry in appearance - the fruit of the amla tree are small round berries, pale green in colour.
Amla fruit is a potent source of vitamin C, and contains 20 x the amount found in oranges. Wow. The amla fruit is a natural tonic, and can be helpful in the treatment of a number of diseases. It flushes out toxins, promotes healthy brain functioning and even aids in fertility!
Lucky for us ladies, it's also a wonderful natural hair treatment, whether used in its powdered or oil form, and helps to promote scalp health, hair strength and growth. Used as a powder on hair, it naturally conditions, freshens and slightly darkens. The perfect natural dry shampoo for us brunettes!
It doesn't stop there. Amla fruit is highly nourishing for the skin. It's balancing, toning and naturally brightening, so it's fantastic for uneven skin tone, dry patches or dullness. Anyone can use amla fruit on their skin and see the benefits - whether your skin is oily, dry or acne-prone, amla fruit can help to soothe, clear and brighten it.
Amla fruit powder is one of the main ingredients in the delicious Raw Gaia Raw Chocolate face pack, along with organic raw chocolate powder (the highest known source of antioxidants in the world), sunbaked red clay (fantastic for freshening and drawing out impurities), and turmeric - a known acne fighter.
After just one use with this beautiful face pack, not only will the delicious scent of chocolate have lifted your spirits, but you'll notice your skin looks clearer and brighter, and feels noticeably smoother.
(Yes, it really is that quick! We've tried it!)
So - get your fix of Amla fruit and start noticing the difference in your skin, hair and overall 'glow'. :)
