What’s so special about Acai?
- Brimming with antioxidants
Alongside cacao, acai berries are the highest known source of antioxidants in the world.Antioxidants combat free radicals in the body, which contribute to the signs of ageing.
A 2006 study conducted at the University of Florida showed that acai extract prompted a self-destructive response in up to 86% of leukaemia cells tested in-vitro.
- High in essential fatty acids (omega-3, omega-6 and omega-9) and amino acids (the building blocks of proteins).
